The implementation of the Tygard Claw will significantly increase the productivity rate. The layer-picking productivity rate is approximately 1,500 - 2,000 cases/hour. Hand-picking for side load can be reduced from 95% to 35 - 40% with the TYGARD CLAW. Bulk hand-picking can be reduced from 65% to 25%.

Warehouse labor has been significantly reduced due to implementation of the Tygard Claw system.

The implementation of the Tygard Claw System will reduce the warehouse labor pool by a minimum of 25%. These reductions will come out of the mixed-pallet area. (See Note*) The reductions are usually achieved through natural attrition.

Load accuracy has been increased as a result of the Tygard Claw.

The implementation of the Tygard Claw will increase the accuracy of the load building. The reduction in the hand pick activity and picker fatigue will result in pickers being more willing to travel to the remote item locations to pick the one or two remote items, resulting in more accurate loads. The picking accuracy of loads will increase by 4%.

The Tygard Claw has significantly decreased workmen's compensation claims.

The implementation of the Tygard Claw will reduce the picker injury and fatigue. The reduction in the total number of people will also reduce the total number of claims. (See Note*) The Tygard Claw lifts an average of 40,000 lbs. of product per hour.

The Tygard Claw has reduced staff turnover levels.

The implementation of the Tygard Claw will reduce staff turnover levels from approximately 50% to less than 20%. This will result in less time being used for employee training in the process of hand-picking. This will also reduce the time Human Resource Departments spend interviewing and choosing new applicants.

Overtime and seasonal labor cost has been significantly reduced.

The Tygard Claw System will reduce overtime and seasonal labor by approximately 50% in the mixed pallet areas. Due to the high volume of product moved with the Tygard Claw, these expenses become unnecessary.

Reduced mixed-pallet area

The introduction of the Tygard Claw layer picking line will reduce the number of pallets of high velocity SKU's to one (1) space each in the mixed pallet area. This will reduce the amount of warehouse space required in the hand pick area and will also reduce the amount of travel distance that the picker must do when building a hand pallet by 50%.
